The international conference "Industry 4.0 in Riga and Beyond" which focuses the issues of the digitization of manufacturing processes and ways of using it to promote the competitiveness of the industry is to take place on December 1 within the framework of “Tech Industry 2017”.
Baltic entrepreneurs operating in the fields of industrial manufacturing, electronics, IT and mechanical engineering are welcome to attend the conference!
The conference "Industry 4.0 in Riga and Beyond" will feature experts and global market leaders from Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and the Nordic countries sharing their experience and outlining future perspectives. Experts will offer first-hand information about the newest developments and innovations.
Carsten Polenz, Vice President Product & Innovations at SAP, which is one of the world’s largest software companies, will tell about German activities and experience with Industry 4.0, as well as talk about connected manufacturing from the SAP perspective. Artūrs Seilis, Director of Operations Development at UPB Holding, will report on the potential of Industry 4.0, the challenges, and what it actually takes.
Prof. Dr. Volker Wittpahl, Managing Director of the Institute for Innovation and Technology (IIT, Germany), will discuss the navigation through digital business transformation. Gerard de Bourbon, a chief spokesman of Tele 2 IoT, Sweden, will unveil the IoT winning formula and how to win using the IoT opportunities. Jürgen Walter, Managing Director at DATATRONiQ, Germany, will tell about the big data analytics in the context of industrial IoT.
Artūrs Žipris, a representative from Mechanika Engineering and KUKA, will address issues of low labour costs and robotisation. Jānis Spoģis from FESTO SIA, Latvia, will discuss Industry 4.0 from concept to training.
Florian Schröder, CEO, AHK Baltic States and Toms Grīnfelds, Chairman of the Board, MASOC will deliver welcoming speeches at the conference opening. The conference "Industry 4.0 in Riga and Beyond" will take place on December 1, 13.00–18.00 at the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre, Conference room No. 3 (2nd floor, access from the Hall II).
